Uber is partnering with two firms, Chinese autonomous driving technology provider Pony AI and Croatian mobility startup Verne, to introduce what it describes as the inaugural commercial self-driving taxi service in Europe. Testing of the vehicles is currently underway in Zagreb, Croatia, Verne's home base, with plans to soon integrate them into Uber's ride-booking platform for public use.
